Automation is all about solving problems, reducing errors, simplifying complex issues and automating repetitive tasks. When we started the development of the PIRO platform we didn’t know how far can we get, but we always kept in mind that we need to listen to our clients and add features and services that will help them to achieve better automation and increased efficiencies.

In contrast with other jewelry software vendors we decided to allow for high level of customization, do custom developments and perform extensive and complex integrations. It wasn’t always easy to meet the expectations of both the existing and new customers, but today PIRO is more complete than ever. PIRO Retail (POS)

Our recently released PIRO Retail is a tablet-based, jewelry point of sale (POS) system developed for companies with a retail presence who also do some level of manufacturing or repairs. One of the biggest advantages that PIRO Retail can bring is eliminating the necessity of using different software for entering custom orders at the retail store or at a tradeshow. With PIRO Retail you can manage the sales using an Android tablet while managing your inventory in PIRO. For example, PIRO Retail makes it possible to place an order at a tradeshow in Las Vegas and start the manufacturing in New York a few minutes later.

PIRO Retail Kiosk - digital catalog

The PIRO Retail Kiosk is a mobile, tablet-oriented digital catalog that allows you to present all of your styles anywhere. You can create your own digital catalog – either with your finished jewelry or with your styles that you can manufacture – and present it while in the store on the road. Your sales staff or even your consumers can interactively configure styles and submit orders easily, form the tablet directly. The best part is: orders are being uploaded straight to your PIRO system in real time, so there is no need to re-enter them.

PIRO Fusion

PIRO Fusion is the newest, cloud-based generation of PIRO. Although in terms of functionalities PIRO Fusion is not at the level of PIRO (desktop), Fusion can be a good option if portability is important for your company or if your wish to use PIRO on MAC computers. You can also use PIRO Fusion with PIRO concurrently, in case you need certain functions that are not available in PIRO Fusion (administration or configuration related features), as the two are compatible and can be run in the same environment in parallel. An upgrade path from PIRO Fusion to PIRO is also available, should you need to upgrade to get access to the full PIRO platform.

PIRO Customer Portal

The Customer Portal is one of the add-ons we highly recommend if you want to provide your customers with online access to your services. Your customers will be able create custom orders, submit STL or 3DM files, place orders from your virtual catalog, and checkout using the built-in shopping cart. The Customer Portal can also provide real-time progress reports and allow your customers to see, download and pay their invoices, view order history, and much more. The look of the Customer Portal can be customized (skinned) to your preference or integrated into your existing website. And if you don’t yet have a website, the Customer Portal can also be used as a full website as it has powerful content management functions already built into it.

SolidPIRO

The SolidPIRO solution allows your customers to upload STL or 3DM files through a web-based interface and to get instant price quotes based prototyping services. Customers can approve or decline the price quotes online, while accepted orders will be automatically processed and sent to your SolidScape printer.

QuickPIRO Bridge

The QuickPIRO Bridge maps your PIRO entries (customers, invoices, consignments, transactions, etc.) to QuickBooks (or QuickBooks Online) in real-time, saving significant time by eliminating double-entry of data.

GIA Integration

PIRO can automatically retrieve GIA diamond data and certificate, thus speeding up your diamond inventory management. No need for manual entry of diamond attributes anymore, PIRO maps automatically all the corresponding attribute values using the GIA diamond database web service - saving you valuable time.

RapNet Integration

If your jewelry is priced to current diamond market prices, this is the tool for you. This integration will lift the burden of constantly having to update your prices, and will update the value of your diamond inventory automatically based on current RapNet market prices, taking into consideration the diamond size, color, cut and clarity.

PIRO API

The PIRO API was built to facilitate the integration with other software and platforms such as external accounting systems, CRMs, web shops and e-commerce sites.

The PIRO API will allow for fast and seamless integration with external systems via a standard REST interface.

EDI support

Electronic Data Interchange has similar purpose as the API: transmitting data electronically. Although API is the newer technology, larger retail chains still use EDI. This module can automate the exchange of documents such as orders, purchase orders and invoices with other systems or platforms, using standardized EDI formats (X12 or XML) and document types (850, 855, 860, 856, 810, 852 etc.). Automated or manual inbound and outbound workflows can be set up through sFTP connection, making the data exchange process seamless.

Business Intelligence (BI)

You can process credit cards directly from PIRO or from PIRO-connected card reading hardware. This can be a tremendous time and cost saver if you process a lot of credit card transactions. No contract is necessary to set up a merchant account and you can all major cards – VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express – by taking payments online, by phone, or in person. You can also choose from multiple gateways to enable online transactions, including Authorize.Net, USAePay, PayTrace, eProcessing Network, and more.

Scheduled Reports

Scheduling reports to be generated and sent out automatically by email is another way to free up management time. The Scheduled Reporting component can be used to automatically run and e-mail any of the reports available in PIRO at predefined intervals, with set filters. This valuable tool not only does save time, but also ensures that everyone receives and works with the most up-to-date report information.

Consolidated shipping

The consolidated shipping feature can be essential for jewelry companies that often send a large number of items across country borders. This tool allows the goods to be shipped as containerized-cargo that offers greater security at much lower shipping rates by combining many small packages into a large package, thus reducing per-package customs and shipping fees. At the port of destination, the consolidated shipment is separated back into the original individual orders for delivery to their respective recipients.

Continuous Development

Our continuous development offering is based on the clients’ needs to develop new features and tools in PIRO. It is similar to our Change Request (CR) process that you may be already using. However, while CRs are great for smaller changes, the Continuous Development package has a monthly allocated budget and a dedicated team, typically a project manager and one or more developers and testers. The continuous development is great to perform ongoing changes and execute larger projects, such as integrations and specialized development work. As a result, you can get a more customized software package, much faster than if you would use Change Requests or have a third party involved.

Customer Portal v.2 upgrade

Developing the first version of our PIRO Customer Portal was huge step as we could offer jewelry companies a great customer & order tool with direct integration to PIRO. In many cases these customer portals were customized according to a specific customer requests and sometimes used as a fully functional website. Recently however we decided to upgrade our customer portal: we developed a better interface, built new and advanced functions (digital catalog, shopping cart, price quoting, 3D file estimation, website layout customization, etc.). Signet - Jewelry Configurator

The well-known jewelry retail giant, Signet Jewelers, owns and operates the companies Zales, Peoples, Kay Jewelers, Jared, and others. Signet is working with selected wholesalers to offer customized jewelry through the Signet websites like Zales.com and Peoples.com. One of the most popular feature they have is the Personalized Jewelry Configurator which allows buyers to customize their selected jewelry. We recently have launched our own PIRO-integrated personalized jewelry configurator with the help of the Signet team, specifically for the family jewelry category. The PIRO Jewelry Configurator allows for configuring the metals and the stones directly on Zales.com for example, and submit the order to PIRO seamlessly and automatically, while all the pricing and style information is stored in and controlled by PIRO, including the style images and configuration options.
